The TEEG Homelessness Charette
Homelessness is a big and complex issue in our corner of the state. Shelter space is limited, permanent housing for those who are homeless is hard to obtain, and requirements to access state programs are complicated.
While solutions take many approaches, joining forces is a step in the right direction. In March 2017, a group of concerned individuals representing many local agencies came together to form the TEEG Homelessness Charrette.
A charrette is a meeting in which all stakeholders attempt to resolve conflicts and map solutions, very much like the group that formed TEEG in 1988. The group serves to educate, inform and provide solutions to the unique issue of homelessness in our area of the state. Members of the charrette include: state and local officials, law enforcement, non-profit agencies, funders, and interested individuals from the local community.
Together we work to find solutions!
