Open to children and families from all area towns, year-round on Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at TEEG (15 Thatcher Road, North Grosvenordale)
As facilitators of playgroup, we believe that parents are the child’s first and most influential teacher, as well as their main source of care, love, and security. We are there to create a positive and safe environment so that relationships and partnerships can be built to help children learn.
Benefits of Playgroup for Children
Children will learn how to get along with other children and make new friends. They will be encouraged to be creative and use their imaginations, as well as share and express themselves. Children will learn how to problem solve in helpful ways while building language skills and memory.
Playgroup is open to all area residents. On occasion, playgroup travels to off-site locations. Check the monthly schedule for details.
Please note that Playgroup follows the public school schedule during the school year. If school is canceled due to inclement weather, playgroup is also canceled. School cancellations are announced on WINY Radio and on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
